“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. At the beginning of our concert we would like to think of the people living in Ukraine in great need and express our solidarity by performing a Ukranian folk song.” - said Iván Fischer in Vienna at the beginning of our concert in March at Wiener Konzerthaus and then the Orchestra started to sing the folk song called Plyve kacha.

Part of the encore Kian Soltani, our guest cellist, also performed a Ukranian folk song called “Lovely Minka, I must away”.

Not just the audience in Vienna, but spectators on our German tour also had the possibility to listen to these touching performances.
