The Night of Music

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s musicians stepping out of the concert halls and immersing themselves in Budapest’s nightlife – The Night of Music!

On 25 November, some of the coolest pubs, cafés, bistros and cultural spaces across Pest and Buda will welcome anyone who is curious, open-minded and keen to brighten up their evening with live music.

The BFO’s chamber ensembles will treat night owls to film favourites, Transylvanian folk music, Irish, Japanese and American melodies, beautiful classical works and exhilarating tangos. One night, from Baroque to jazz.

The Night of Music’s free mini-concerts will take place at Dugattyús, Manyi Kulturális Műhely, Margaux, DANTE Közösségi Alkotótér, Béla. bár, MITZI, Szatyor Bár, Tacet Brewery, Három Holló and Lumen, as part of the autumn’s most relaxed and informal classical music event.

This year, the event is once again made possible with the support of the Municipality of Budapest, as part of the celebrations marking Budapest’s birthday.
