Five stars to the Budapest Festival Orchestra

The Budapest Festival Orchestra received five stars from the critic of the British Guardian for its concert in the London Royal Festival Hall.
In his article published on Monday, Tim Ashley found the Seherezade ballet-suite of Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov radical and exceptional. Tim Ashley, the famous critic, qualified the Budapest Festival Orchestra as one of the best orchestras, in his opinion, all the important solos worked perfectly, and the performance was uniquely beautiful. As Ashely wrote, in the second half of the concert, the tragic overture of Brahms, then the interpretation of Lalo’s Spanish symphony “were miraculous” – said Júlia Váradi, the communication manager of the Orchestra on Wednesday. Geoff Brown, the music critic of The Times, also found the concerts played during the British tours of the Orchestra excellent. He called the “Budapest tonality” “brilliant, serious, and perfectly balanced”, which, according to the journalist, can not be compared to any other experiences gained from the performances of any other orchestras.   The other concert programme played during the European tour (cantata No. 105 of Bach and symphony VII (E major) of Bruckner) were also very successful, a number of different media wrote about it positively. These two musical compositions can he heard by the Budapest audience as well on 10, 11 and 12 of March in the Béla Bartók National concert Hall.
