Bach-Bruckner concert at the Palace of Arts

Following the tour in Europe, the Budapest Festival Orchestra shall perform two, very exciting and highly influential musical compositions in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall on 10, 11 and 12 March. First the Orchestra shall play Johann Sebastian Bach’s marvellous clerical composition, the Cantata No. 105. The soloists of the bewildering breathed prayer are Noémi Kiss (soprano), Atala Schöck (mezzo), Zoltán Megyesi (tenor) and Peter Harvey (baritone).
The other great musical composition to be performed during the concert weekend shall be Anton Bruchner’s Symphony No. VII (E major) which is also of clerical inspiration and was written by the composer in memoriam Wagner. The two musical compositions were performed by the Budapest Festival Orchestra, conducted by Iván Fischer during the present tour in Cologne, Brugge and Metz with extreme success.
