The first stop of the concert series is the city of Cologne, Germany, where the Orchestra shall perform in the concert hall of the Philharmonie the cantata No. 105 of Johann Sebastian Bach and the symphony No VII (E-major) of Anton Bruckner. The soloists of the Bach cantata shall be Peter Harvey (baritone), Noémi Kiss (soprano), Zoltán Megyesi (tenor), and Schöck Atala (mezzo). After Cologne, the concert series shall be continued in the city of Brugge (Belgium) with the same programme which shall be presented at the Concertgebow of Brugge. The artists of the Festival Orchestra shall travel to London from Brugge, where they will perform a different programme in the Royal Festival Hall: Johannes Brahms’ Tragic overture, Edouard Lalo’s Spanish symphony, and the symphonic suite of Nyikolaj Andrejevic Rimsky-Korsakov’s Seherezade. Renaud Capucon, violinist, shall be the soloist of the Spanish symphony. The Orchestra shall return to the continent from the kingdom. The next stop shall be France, where they will perform in the l’Arsenal in the city of Metz. Their programme shall again be the compositions of Bach and Bruckner. Next day, they will perform in the concert hall of de Singel in the city of Antwerp, where the audience will have the pleasure to listen to the music of Brahms, Lalo and Rimsky-Korsakov. The tour shall end on 09 March in Vienna with a concert in the Konzerthaus where the Orchestra shall perform the cantata of Bach and the beautiful symphony of Bruckner. The conductor of the concerts shall be Iván Fischer.
