Following performances in Belgium, Germany and Italy, recording of Mahler 1

Following highly acclaimed performances in Budapest at the BFO's annual Mahlerfest, we took Mahler's Symphony No.1. on a short tour in Belgium, Germany and Italy.
The first concert of the tour was on September 16th in Ghent. Besides the Mahler work, the programme featured György Orbán's new work written for the BFO's Mahlerfest and Liszt's Totentanz with the Croatian pianist, Dejan Lazic as soloist. From Belgium the orchestra travelled to Bonn for a concert at the Beethoven Festival on September 17th. The last leg of the tour was Milan where we performed on September 19th at the MITO Festival, organized by the two North Italian cities, Milan and Torino. Following the tour we recorded the Mahler Symphony in the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall in Budapest for the Channel Classics label between September 21st and 23rd. The CD is planned to be released in the second half of 2012.
