The BFOreaches out! is a gem in the newer traditions of the BFO. When holding concerts outside of Budapest the orchestra „occupies” the town hosting the concert and takes music from door to door. During the first season of the programme, the musicians of the orchestra captured Pécs, Kaposvár and Szombathely. The Budapest Festival Orchestra and Iván Fischer want young and talented Hungarian music lovers and young people connected to music to turn towards playing music with even more enthusiasm and skill. The initiative also offers a possibility for the orchestra to discover exceptional talents around the country.
