Tours for BFO Patrons in 2024

We welcome our Gold Patrons, Benefactors, and The Conductor's Circle to join us on our tours in 2024. Travel with us and get to know the orchestra better!

Bruges Tour Itinerary (June 4–8) This tour is now fully booked, with a waitlist in operation.

  • Two symphony concerts with an all-Brahms program, featuring Alexandre Kantorow, Stephen Isserlis and Veronika Eberle
  • One chamber music concert
  • Gastronomic workshop showcasing local specialties (choice between waffles and beer OR chocolate)
  • Guided city walk exploring churches
  • Canal cruises
  • Exclusive opportunity to meet and converse with BFO musicians

The price of the Bruges tour experience that includes the above programs, accommodation, full assistance, group escort, and transfers for the flights recommended by the BFO:

  • Single occupancy: €1,700 per person
  • Double occupancy: €1,300 per person (total of €2,600 for two people)

Please note that flights and insurance are not included in the package. Flight bookings can be arranged upon request.

Bruges is a compact city with everything within easy reach and flat terrain, requiring relatively little walking. Throughout the program, we will travel on foot within the city. Additionally, we suggest optional activities not included in the package price, e.g. dinner together, adventure trip to the beach by bike to see the windmills.

Spoleto Tour Itinerary (June 27–30):

  • Opera performance of "Ariadne auf Naxos" (premiere)
  • Two chamber music concerts as part of the Spoleto Festival (details to be announced)
  • BFO flash mob
  • Excursion to Assisi by coach, visiting the main sights
  • Exclusive meeting and ice cream session with the musicians of the BFO (Spoleto is renowned for having the world's best pistachio ice cream)
  • Visit to the house of Gustav Mahler's granddaughter, Marina Mahler, featuring Alma Mahler's piano and Anna Mahler's statues
  • Art history lecture and discussion, along with a visit to the treasures of the museum in Spoleto

The price of the Spoleto tour experience that includes the above programs, accommodation, full assistance, group escort, and transfers for the flights recommended by the BFO:

  • Single occupancy: €1,300 per person
  • Double occupancy: €1,100 per person (total of €2,200 for two people)

Outbound: Jun 27, 13:30-15:10 BUD-CIA Ryanair
Return: Jun 30, 22:15-23:45 FCO-BUD

Additionally, we suggest optional activities not included in the package price, e.g. lunch or dinner together, a visit to the fortress overlooking the city.

Spoleto, similar to Bruges, is a compact town where everything is within close proximity. While the streets are steep due to its hillside location, there is an air-conditioned escalator that facilitates easy movement from the bottom to the highest point of the town. Throughout our time in Spoleto, we will primarily be on foot.


What is included in the participation fees?

The participation fees include accommodation with breakfast, airport transfers for the flights recommended by the BFO, tickets for BFO performances, special programs listed in the description (applies for a minimum of 8 guests), as well as Hungarian and English-speaking assistance during the trip. 

Participation fees do not include airfare and insurance. We will be happy to recommend flights and arrange flight reservations if required.
