About the event
BFZ – The First Forty Years is a heartfelt and special journey behind the scenes of the world-renowned orchestra. Personal stories of musicians and founders, archival footage, and memorable concert moments bring to life four decades of the Budapest Festival Orchestra – from the intimate harmony of the rehearsal room to the captivating magic of the stage.
The film shows how the orchestra has become a major international presence while preserving its warmth, creativity, and playfulness.
The first film screening of the season is free of charge. Before the screening begins, we look forward to welcoming you for a toast with a glass of Frici!
After the film, we invite you to stay for a discussion, where Júlia Váradi will talk with the film’s producer, Panna Boros.
