Nao Yamamoto was born in Tokyo, Japan. She studied under Nakatuka Yoshiaki at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music. Having moved to Europe, she continued her studies under László Bársony at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. She completed her musical studies with Rivka Golani in London. Nao Yamamoto has been a member of the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 1999.
