Solvejg Wilding

Solvejg Sulamith Wilding – born in 1998 in Winterthur, Switzerland – began taking violin lessons at the age of five. Later she studied with Jens Lohmann at the Konservatorium Zürich.
Solvejg was studying with Pavel Vernikov at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne and at the Musik und Kunstprivatuniversität der Stadt Wien with Boris Brovtsyn where she received her Bachelor with distinction in September 2020.
She is currently continuing her studies at Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main with Erik Schumann.
Solvejg was an Academist at Musikkollegium Winterthur from September 2021 until July 2022. She now plays there as a Substitute.
From September 2022 until July 2024 she was an Academist at the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Solvejg has plenty of experience in chamber music and also participates since age six regularly in various orchestras; she was for example concert master of the orchestra Stringendo Zurich.
Solvejg is an eight times finalist and prize winner of the Swiss Youth Music Competition (SJMW) – in 2011 she also received a special price for the best interpretation of a work by a swiss composer.
She‘s performed in halls such as the Musikverein Vienna, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Tonhalle Zurich and the Stadthaus Winterthur as a soloist.
She regularly takes part in master classes where she had the opportunity to work with Zakhar Bron, Igor Ozim, Shlomo Mintz, Vadim Gluzman and Krzysztof Wegrzyn.
She plays a Giuseppe Gagliano.
