Balázs Tóth

He was born in 1986 in Balassagyarmat. He started playing the trumpet as his father’s student in his home town. From 2001 to 2005 he was a student of Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music, his teacher was Attila Simon. In 2005 he passed into the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music where first he studied with Zoltán Szűcs then with Tamás Velenczei. He won several competitions nation- and worldwide. From 2008 he regulary plays with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. He was one of the winners of the Sándor Végh Competition of the BFO in 2008.
