After graduating from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in 1989, István Rajncsák spent five years with the Orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera. He then played in the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa for 8 years. He is a violist in the Pulzus String Quartet and has featured regularly in productions by the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 1992.
