Gergely Janák

Gergely Janák was born in 2000 at Budapest. He started his music studies in 2008 in Budapest at the Rácz Aladár Music School where his trombone teacher was István Krajcsik. In 2015 he started his high school studies at the Szent István Conservatory in Budapest where his trombone teacher was Róbert Lugosi. In 2017 he had the chance to play with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on their Side by Side concert in Budapest. In that year he won the Corpus National Conservatory Competition’s first and special award. In 2018 he took part in the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra. In 2019 he won the National conservatory competition’s first and special award. In 2019 he started his university studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music where his teacher was György Gyivicsán. In 2022 he took part at the Seoul International Music Festival. He earned his master’s degree at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in 2024.
