Boglárka Fábry

Boglárka Fábry was born in Debrecen in 1980. After completing her studies at the piano and percussion department of the Debrecen Conservatory she was admitted to the Liszt Academy of Music in 1998. In 1999 she was invited to attend Yale University. In the summer of 2000 she participated in the Leigh Howard Stevens Summer Academy in New Jersey. The same year she was accepted into the Jeunesses Musicales International orchestra. In 2001 she began teaching percussion at the Szent István Secondary School of Music in Budapest, while from 2009 she has also lectured at the Faculty of Music at Debrecen University. She plays an active part in music life in Budapest, working amongst others with the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the Amadinda Percussion Group, the UMZE Chamber Ensemble and in concerts with the leading orchestras. She has also taken part in many theatre productions. In 2009 she became a member of the Concerto Budapest Orchestra, and has played in the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 2012.
