Lajos Dvorák

Lajos Dvorák was born in Budapest in 1964. He studied cello at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest under László Mező. Having graduated as a cellist and cello instructor in 1988, he spent the next four years as a member of the orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera. He joined the cello section of the Budapest Festival Orchestra in 1992, when it became a permanent orchestra. He is the founder and leader of the Grassalkovich String Quartet, with whom he regularly performs across Hungary and the world.
