Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf

Austrian Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf was a very active composer during the Classical era in Vienna. One of his venues was Oradea, where he was bishop (succeeding Michael Haydn). Key works of his massive oeuvre include symphonies written based on Ovid's Metamorphoses. One of these is played at the Château concert.
