With deep shock and sadness I heard the news that Zoltán Kocsis passed away. He was a musical giant, one of the rare geniuses. His impact on our whole generation is immeasurable. On behalf of the Budapest Festival Orchestra and myself, deeply moved I say  farewell to my co-founding partner, to a colleague of many unforgettable musical events.
