Easter surprises to make the quarantine easier

We have a number of uplifting surprises in store for the upcoming holidays: we will suspend our Quarantine Soirées for a few days, and will be offering audiences the screenings of some truly grandiose performances.

On Good Friday (April 10) and Holy Saturday (April 11), we will be sharing J. S. Bach’s St Matthew Passion on our website and Facebook page, beginning at 7:45 p.m., performed by the Concertgebouw Orchestra, conducted by Iván Fischer. On Easter Sunday (April 12), Easter Monday (April 13) and the Tuesday following (April 14), beginning at 7:45 p.m., we will screen a performance of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 (Resurrection), on our website and Facebook page, performed by the Budapest Festival Orchestra and conducted, of course, by Iván Fischer. Join us – turn each concert into a holiday!

We are also thinking of families and children stuck at home: beginning April 18, we will be hosting online Cocoa Concerts every Saturday (rerun on Sunday) with Iván Fischer. Get your polka-dot mugs ready!
