The lack of new music has become an almost chronic issue in Hungarian concert life. The Budapest Festival Orchestra has been striving to fill this gap since it was founded roughly three decades ago, from as early as its first concerts. But a new milestone will be reached in this old story in 2012. Alongside its Baroque ensemble the BFO musicians have also created a contemporary music ensemble.
