Brahms-Strauss concert

Világhírű szólistával és karmesterrel Brahms D-dúr hegedűversenye és Richard Strauss Sinfonia domestica című műve a Budapesti Fesztiválzenekar programján április 12-én, 13-án és 14-én.
The soloist of the marvellous violin concerto in D-major by Johannes Brahms is Isabelle Faust, the globally renowned German violinist, who first came to the attention of the international music scene by winning the Paganini Competition in 1993. Amongst others she has partnered Yehudi Menuhin, Michael Gielen, Heinz Holliger, Marek Janowski, James Levine and Claudio Abbado. Faust will be playing on "Sleeping Beauty", a wonderfully sounding Stradivari violin made in 1704. The conductor of the concert is the internationally famed Marek Janowski, who was born in Poland and grew up in Germany. Throughout his career, Janowski has led the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Suisse Romand Orchestra, and will now conduct the Budapest Festival Orchestra for the third time.
