BFO back from tour covering six countries in Europe and South America

The Festival Orchestra is back from a tour which has covered six countries in Europe and South America.
The concert series started on April 27th in Amsterdam's Concertgebouw. On the 28th we performed in Antwerp, a day later in Lugano. From Switzerland the orchestra flew to South America. The first stop-over on the American continent was Buenos Aires with two concerts in the city's legendary opera house, Teatro Colon on May 2nd and 3rd. From Argentine we travelled to Brazil for three performances in Rio de Janeiro (May 5th) and Sao Paolo (May 7th and 8th). The last leg of the tour was Austria where the BFO was awaited for two concerts in Vienna's world famous Musikvereinsaal on May 11th and 12th. All concerts of the tour were conducted by Music Director Iván Fischer. The programmes featured works by Bartók, Weber, Paganini, Dvorák, Schumann and Tchaikovsky, the soloists were József Lendvay (violin) and Dejan Lazic (piano).
