Polina Pasztircsák, lyric soprano started her international opera and concert career after winning the famous Geneva International Music Competition in 2009. Since that time she has been guesting in opera houses and concert halls in Europe. In 2013 she will sing Woglinde at the Grand Theatre du Geneve conducted by Ingo Metzmacher, Mimi in the Hungarian State Opera, Isotta in Richard Strauss’s Die schweigsame Frau under the baton of Zoltán Kocsis. She sings in concert halls as the Berliner Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Victoria Hall in Geneva or the Palace of Arts in Budapest. She gives song recitals with Jan Philip Schulze, Boris Kusnezow and Nora Füzi at the Radio France, the Davos Festival, and the Marburger Konzertverein. Next season she will guest with the Musikkollegium Winterthur, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. In July 2013 she will perform Mozart arias with Sabine Meyer and the Kammerorchester Basel conducted by Andreas Spering. The young lyric soprano studied singing with Julia Bikfalvy, Carol Richardson-Smith and Mirella Freni. She graduated with in 2010 from the Conservatory of “G. Frescobaldi” in Ferrara. Her opera and concert repertoire includes among others Tatyana, Liu, Micaela, Handel’s Partenope, Susanna, Missa Solemnis, Petite Messe Solennelle, 14th Symphony of Shostakovich, 4th Symphony of Mahler, Beethoven’s Klärchen in Egmont and the IX. Symphony, Faures Requiem, Les Nuits d’Ete of Berlioz, Vier letzte Lieder of Strauss. Songs of Mahler, Mahler-Werfel, Strauss, Zemlinsky, Rachamninoff, Tchaikovsky, Bartok, Kodály, Debussy, ect.
