Also a reference performer of Rossini’s roles Nicola Alaimo made his debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2010 singing La Cenerentola, then he starred in Il barbiere di Siviglia (2011) Matilde di Shabran (2012), Guillaume Tell (title role), staged in 2013, La Gazzetta and a solo recital (2015), and as Don Geronio in Il Turco in Italia(2016).
Mr. Alaimo gained great success performing Lieder eines Fahrenden Gesellen in Bologna with Michele Mariotti, in L’Italiana in Algeri at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Don Quichotte at the Lyric Opera in Chicago.
Mr. Alaimo regularly collaborates with conductors as Maurizio Benini, Bruno Campanella, Gianluigi Gelmetti, James Levine, Michele Mariotti, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Evelino Pidò, Jean Christophe Spinosi, Alberto Zedda.

In 2016, the Association of Italy’s Music Critics awarded Mr. Alaimo with the prestigious “Premio Abbiati”.
