Éva Kóbor

European Orchestra Academy members violin

She was born in Nice on December 13, 2001. At the age of 4, she started playing the violin at the Sivom de Cap D'ail music school in Nathalie Girod's class, and later continued her studies at the Rainier III Academy of the Conservatory of Monaco in Louis Denis Ott's class. Her first achievement occurred in 2011 and 2012 when she won first place at the Vatelot- Rampal Competition. In 2013 and 2016, she won the first prize at the Flame Competition in Paris. In 2017, she received the Musical Prize from the Prince of Monaco. In 2017, she continued her studies at the Bartók Béla Conservatory in Budapest with Terez Pichner. In 2018, she won the first prize and a special prize at the Zathureczky National Competition, and in 2019, she won first prize at the 17th Tibor Varga Memorial National Violin Competition. In 2021, she won the first prize at the 1st Karpat -medence International Violin Competition, as well as the second prize at the Hubay International Competition and in 2024 the 1st joint Hubay Jenö Prize. In 2023, she received the artistic scholarship and the February Artist of the Month from the Budafok Municipality and in 2024 the Fischer Annie Scorlarship. As a soloist, she has the opportunity to perform with orchestras such as the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, Cannes Philharmonic Orchestra, Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, MAV Symphony Orchestra, Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Dohnányi Orchestra, Szeged Symphony Orchestra, Virtuózok Chamber Ensemble.

She has had the privilege of participating in masterclasses with renowned professors such as Renaud Capuçon, Zakhar Bron, Kirill Troussov, Mihaela Martin, György Pauk, Giles Apap, Takacs-Nagy Gabor,Alissa Margulis, Marc Bouchkov, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Olivier Charlier, Giovanni Guzzo, Sebastien Bohren and Michael Vaiman.

Since September 2020, she has been a student at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Starting from 2023, she will continue her master's studies in the classes of Eszter Perényi and Barnabás Kelemen.
