Zoltán Fekete

Zoltán Fekete was born in May 1972. He began to learn the violin at the age of seven in Monor, under Gyula Szentmihályi’s tutelage, and later studied at the Béla Bartók Conservatory under István Bodonyi. In 1990 he graduated from the Teacher Training College of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where his tutor was Györgyi Répássy. He then continued to study the viola under János Fejérvári. He graduated as a chamber musician in 1995. He has attended numerous master-classes by Dénes Zsigmondy. Zoltán has been a member of the Ferenc Erkel Chamber Orchestra since 1991, and became a member of the Budapest Festival Orchestra in 1995. He is a violist in the Lanner Quartet, which was founded in 2012. He lives in Biatorbágy with his family – a wife and four children.
