Mr. Simor will bring love of music, commitment and loyalty to the Budapest Festival Orchestra and considerable business and philanthropy experience to the foundation. The orchestra’s new international Board of Directors will work to find and raise world wide support for this orchestra which is considered by experts as one of the very best of the world.

Short biography of András Simor:

After a successful career as an investment banker and subsequently as head of a professional services firm, during the last six years Mr. Simor served as the Governor of the National Bank of Hungary. Most recently he has been appointed as Vice President, Policy at the London based European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
