In each of the ten categories there are three nominees, the winners are announced at a gala on December 2nd in the Palace of Arts in Budapest. The prestigious award goes with 50.000 euros. Iván Fischer, the BFO's music director is among the nominees in the category of classical music. The other two candates are pianist Gergely Bogányi and mezzosoprano Klára Takács.
