Cecília Bodolai

After graduating from the Liszt Academy in 1984, Cecília Bodolai joined the Orchestra of the Hungarian State Opera, where she spent four years. She has been a member of the viola section of the Budapest Festival Orchestra since 1992. As the violist of the Danubius and then the Eckhardt String Quartets, she has taken part in several Hungarian and international festivals, as well as radio and television recordings. Her husband is a bassoonist, choir master and school music teacher. She is the mother of two adult children, and since 2019 the happy grandmother of a boy. Her son, Bálint Mohai is the principal bassoonist of the Hungarian State Opera.
