PURCHASING CONCERT TICKETS AND SEASON PASSES

Season pass sales for the general public begin on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10.00 a.m.

Single ticket sales and flexible season pass sales for concerts included in season passes begin for the general public on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 10.00 a.m. BFO Patrons have the option to purchase tickets early. You can find the dates for Patrons' priority booking for the 2024-25 season here.

ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE

There is no handling fee for online purchases. If you buy your season pass or ticket online, you will receive an e-season pass or an e-ticket (in PDF format) by email. Please be sure to check your spam folder as well! E-season passes are fully valid electronic season passes that give you access to all the performances included in your season pass. To protect the environment, instead of printing out your e-season pass or e-ticket please save the PDF email attachment to your smartphone and present it at the venues with electronic admission (Müpa Budapest, Castle Garden Bazaar). If this is not possible, show the printout of your e-season pass or e-ticket. If you would like to exchange your e-season pass for a paper ticket, you can do so in person at the BFO’s offices by August 31, 2024.

We recommend registering on the bfo.hu website, logging into your account prior to making a purchase, and managing your season passes or concert tickets there. In your account, you can view your tickets for the season, and you don’t need to worry about looking for or downloading attachments sent by email.

Please note that SZÉP Cards, and OTP Cafeteria Cards can only be used when making purchases in person. For online purchaseses, using these forms of payment is not possible.

During the season, information about performances of the season passes (concert reminders, program changes, ticket refund information in case of cancelled concerts, stream links, etc.) will always be sent to the email address provided by the season pass purchaser at the time of purchase. If you have also purchased a season pass for your friends, please forward these information letters to your fellow season pass holders.

DYNAMIC PRICING

We are introducng dynamic pricing from the 2024–25 season. Dynamic, or demand-based pricing is a sophisticated pricing process where the price of an event is determined by demand and supply, and therefore, prices may go up and down from time to time. Dynamic pricing may also result in varying ticket prices for different dates of a given program. The current ticket prices of the concerts are always the same at the ticket vendors and on the online platforms, however, in the case of online purchases, the price of a ticket already in your basket will not change. Dynamic pricing will not affect the price of season passes. Discounts on flexible season passes will be calculated based on fixed ticket prices until July 31, 2024. Click here for more information on dynamic pricing.

DEAR AUDIENCE MEMBERS,

Please avoid making purchases on the Viagogo website. As many of you have pointed out, www.viagogo.com/hu is charging several times what we do for tickets to the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s concerts. We are not under contract with the above website and have no influence on the prices they have established there. Do not allow yourselves to be cheated and overcharged!

The easiest ways to buy tickets to our concerts is still online through the bfz.hu website, without administration costs, or in person at the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s office as well as at concert venue ticket offices.

Important notice The ticket entitles the holder to one entry to the performance overleaf on the date specified. • Audience members attend the performance at their own risk. By purchasing the ticket, the ticket holder agrees to accept and follow the policy and security instructions of the event venue. • Latecomers may only occupy their seats during intermissions. For performances with no intermissions, this is not guaranteed. • The use of the cloakroom is mandatory. • To avoid any interruption of the performance, mobile phones must be switched off.

You are advised that video and audio recordings may be made of the performance, potentially showing the ticket holder. The ticket holder acknowledges that they may make no claims against the directors, the makers or any other rightful users of the recordings regarding the recordings. • The Budapest Festival Orchestra reserves the right to change the date, the venue, the concert program, and the performers.

Please note: A ticket is a document entitling the holder to use a service, for which consideration has already been paid. • Refunds for tickets may only be claimed if the performance is cancelled, and only within the period specified for the event. • Tickets cannot be exchanged. • Any person who forges a ticket or uses a forged ticket may be liable to civil and/or criminal proceedings.
